Terms Used In Utah Code > Title 53 > Chapter 2a > Part 15 - Grid Resilience Committee
- Committee: means the Grid Resilience Committee created in Section 53-2a-1503. See Utah Code 53-2a-1501
- Director: means the division director appointed under Section 53-2a-103 or the director's designee. See Utah Code 53-2a-102
- Division: means the Utah Division of Emergency Management created in Section 53-21-103. See Utah Code 53-2a-1501
- Energy: includes the energy resources defined in this chapter. See Utah Code 53-2a-102
- Expenses: means actual labor costs of government and volunteer personnel, and materials. See Utah Code 53-2a-102
- Grid resilience: means efforts to provide greater resilience to the state's infrastructure with respect to:(3)(a) weather events;(3)(b) wildfire;(3)(c) acts of terrorism; or(3)(d) other potentially damaging events. See Utah Code 53-2a-1501
- Officer: means a person who is elected or appointed to an office or position within a political subdivision. See Utah Code 53-2a-102
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Terrorism: means activities or the threat of activities that:
(19)(a) involve acts dangerous to human life;(19)(b) are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of this state; and(19)(c) to a reasonable person, would appear to be intended to:(19)(c)(i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population;(19)(c)(ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or(19)(c)(iii) affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping. See Utah Code 53-2a-102
