Terms Used In Utah Code > Title 79 > Chapter 2 > Part 6 - Watershed Restoration Initiative

  • Administrative costs: means the costs of administering the initiative, including costs for staffing, rent, data processing, legal, finance, accounting, travel, maintenance, and office supplies. See Utah Code 79-2-601
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Department: means the Department of Natural Resources created in Section 79-2-201. See Utah Code 79-1-102
  • Director: means the director of the initiative who is appointed under Section 79-2-602. See Utah Code 79-2-601
  • Division: means the Division of Wildlife Resources created in Section 23A-2-201. See Utah Code 79-2-601
  • Donor: The person who makes a gift.
  • Executive director: means the executive director of the department who is appointed under Section 79-2-202. See Utah Code 79-1-102
  • Initiative: means the Watershed Restoration Initiative created in Section 79-2-602. See Utah Code 79-2-601
  • Person: means :
         (24)(a) an individual;
         (24)(b) an association;
         (24)(c) an institution;
         (24)(d) a corporation;
         (24)(e) a company;
         (24)(f) a trust;
         (24)(g) a limited liability company;
         (24)(h) a partnership;
         (24)(i) a political subdivision;
         (24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and
         (24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • Process: means a writ or summons issued in the course of a judicial proceeding. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • Restoration: means to assist the recovery of ecosystems and ecosystem services that have been mismanaged, degraded, or destroyed. See Utah Code 79-2-601
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • Watershed: means the geographical surface area that drains water into a stream, river, or other body of water. See Utah Code 79-2-601
