(1) As used in this section, “local government entity” means a county or municipality.

Terms Used In Utah Code 11-69-101

  • Person: means :
         (24)(a) an individual;
         (24)(b) an association;
         (24)(c) an institution;
         (24)(d) a corporation;
         (24)(e) a company;
         (24)(f) a trust;
         (24)(g) a limited liability company;
         (24)(h) a partnership;
         (24)(i) a political subdivision;
         (24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and
         (24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) A local government entity may not:

     (2)(a) require a person to obtain a business license or permit from the local government entity to engage in a practice described in Subsection 58-11a-304(5); or
     (2)(b) prevent or limit a person’s ability to engage in a practice described in Subsection 58-11a-304(5) by requiring the person to engage in the practice at a specific location or at a particular type of facility or location.
