(1) There is created within the office the Center for International Business and Diplomacy.

Terms Used In Utah Code 63N-19-103

  • center: means the Center for International Business and Diplomacy created in Section 63N-19-103. See Utah Code 63N-19-101
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) The center shall:

     (2)(a) foster and support efforts to enhance international economic and diplomatic opportunities in the state;
     (2)(b) provide outreach and information to businesses that could benefit from international partnerships and business opportunities;
     (2)(c) coordinate with the Legislature to accommodate diplomatic visits to the state; and
     (2)(d) enter into agreements with appropriate public and private sector entities, individuals, and institutions to support the center’s diplomacy efforts.
(3) The center may, in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, make rules necessary to carry out the center’s responsibilities under this chapter.
