(1) The executive director of the department, in consultation with the commission, shall appoint a director of the commission who is:

- Commission: means the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism created in Section 9-20-201. See Utah Code 9-20-102
- Department: means the Department of Cultural and Community Engagement. See Utah Code 9-1-102
- Executive director: means the executive director of the Department of Cultural and Community Engagement. See Utah Code 9-1-102
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(1)(a) experienced in administration; and
(1)(b) qualified by education or training in the field of public administration.
(2) The director of the commission shall report to the executive director.
(3) The commission shall:
(3)(a) report to the office of the lieutenant governor; and
(3)(b) by January 1, provide an annual written report to the lieutenant governor on service and volunteerism in the state.
(4) The department shall provide administrative and staff support services to the commission.
