Terms Used In Utah Code 9-23-306

  • Club fighting: means any contest of unarmed combat, whether admission is charged or not, where:
              (3)(a)(i) the rules of the contest are not approved by the commission;
              (3)(a)(ii) a licensed physician, osteopath, or physician assistant approved by the commission is not in attendance;
              (3)(a)(iii) a correct HIV negative test regarding each contestant has not been provided to the commission;
              (3)(a)(iv) the contest is not conducted in accordance with commission rules; or
              (3)(a)(v) the contestants are not matched by the weight standards established in accordance with Section 9-23-316. See Utah Code 9-23-101
  • Person: means :
         (24)(a) an individual;
         (24)(b) an association;
         (24)(c) an institution;
         (24)(d) a corporation;
         (24)(e) a company;
         (24)(f) a trust;
         (24)(g) a limited liability company;
         (24)(h) a partnership;
         (24)(i) a political subdivision;
         (24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and
         (24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) Any person who publicizes, promotes, conducts, or engages in a club fighting match is:

     (2)(a) guilty of a class A misdemeanor as provided in Section 76-9-705; and
     (2)(b) subject to license revocation under this chapter.
