The comptroller of each public transit district shall, as soon as possible after the close of each fiscal year:
(1) prepare a statement of revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year just ended, in the detail that the board of trustees prescribes; and

- Chief executive officer: means a person appointed by the board of trustees of a small public transit district to serve as chief executive officer. See Utah Code 17B-2a-802
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Municipality: means a city or town. See Utah Code 17B-1-102
- Public transit: means regular, continuing, shared-ride, surface transportation services that are open to the general public or open to a segment of the general public defined by age, disability, or low income. See Utah Code 17B-2a-802
- Unincorporated: means not included within a municipality. See Utah Code 17B-1-102
(2) transmit a copy of the statement to the chief executive officer of:
(2)(a) each municipality within the district; and
(2)(b) each county with unincorporated area within the district.
