(1) There is created the Division of Licensing and Background Checks within the department.
Terms Used In Utah Code 26B-2-103
- Child: means an individual under 18 years old. See Utah Code 26B-2-101
- Director: means the director of the office. See Utah Code 26B-2-101
- Executive director: means the executive director of the department appointed under Section 26B-1-203. See Utah Code 26B-1-102
- Office: means the Office of Licensing within the department. See Utah Code 26B-2-101
(2) The division shall be the licensing and background screening authority for the department, and is vested with all the powers, duties, and responsibilities described in:
(2)(a) this part;
(2)(b) Part 2, Health Care Facility Licensing and Inspection;
(2)(c) Part 4, Child Care Licensing; and
(2)(d) Part 6, Mammography Quality Assurance.
(3) The executive director shall appoint the director of the division.
(4) There are created within the division the Office of Licensing and the Office of Background Processing.
