(1) The division shall award grants to communities to conduct mental health crisis response training.
Terms Used In Utah Code 26B-5-111
- Division: means the Division of Integrated Healthcare created in Section
26B-1-1202 . See Utah Code 26B-5-101 - Mental health crisis: means :(6)(a) a mental health condition that manifests in an individual by symptoms of sufficient severity that a prudent layperson who possesses an average knowledge of mental health issues could reasonably expect the absence of immediate attention or intervention to result in:(6)(a)(i) serious danger to the individual's health or well-being; or(6)(a)(ii) a danger to the health or well-being of others; or(6)(b) a mental health condition that, in the opinion of a mental health therapist or the therapist's designee, requires direct professional observation or intervention. - Process: means a writ or summons issued in the course of a judicial proceeding. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) For the application and award of the grants described in Subsection (1), the division shall make rules, in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, that determine:(2)(a) the requirements and process for a community to apply for a grant; and(2)(b) the substantive mental health crisis response programs that qualify for the award of a grant.
