(1) On or before October 1, 2027, and every other interim thereafter, the office shall report to the Retirement and Independent Entities Committee:
Terms Used In Utah Code 49-11-1209
- Office: means the Utah State Retirement Office. See Utah Code 49-11-102
- Retiree: means an individual who has qualified for an allowance under this title. See Utah Code 49-11-102
- Retirement: means the status of an individual who has become eligible, applies for, and is entitled to receive an allowance under this title. See Utah Code 49-11-102
- retirement allowance: means the pension plus the annuity, including any cost of living or other authorized adjustments to the pension and annuity. See Utah Code 49-11-102
- Service credit: means :(50)(a) the period during which an employee is employed and compensated by a participating employer and meets the eligibility requirements for membership in a system or the Utah Governors' and Legislators' Retirement Plan, provided that any required contributions are paid to the office; and(50)(b) periods of time otherwise purchasable under this title. See Utah Code 49-11-102(1)(a) the number of retirees who are reemployed and receiving a retirement allowance;(1)(b) the number of retirees described in Subsection (1)(a) who are public employee retirees and the number who are public safety or firefighter retirees;(1)(c) the average number of years of service credit before retirement for each type of retiree; and(1)(d) the number of retirees who reemployed on or after July 1, 2025, and have subsequently retired.
(2) The office shall report the information described in Subsection (1) separately for retirees who reemploy under Section 49-11-1204 and Subsection 49-11-1205 (5).
