Terms Used In Utah Code 53-2d-204

  • Bureau: means the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services created in Section 53-2d-102. See Utah Code 53-2d-101
  • Emergency medical services: means :
         (15)(a) medical services;
         (15)(b) transportation services;
         (15)(c) behavioral emergency services; or
         (15)(d) any combination of the services described in Subsections (15)(a) through (c). See Utah Code 53-2d-101
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5

     The bureau shall develop and implement, in cooperation with state, federal, and local agencies empowered to oversee disaster response activities, plans to provide emergency medical services during times of disaster or emergency.
