Terms Used In Utah Code 53-2d-602.1
- Ambulance: means a ground, air, or water vehicle that:(2)(a) transports patients and is used to provide emergency medical services; and(2)(b) is required to obtain a permit under Section
53-2d-404 to operate in the state. See Utah Code 53-2d-101- Person: means :
(24)(a) an individual;(24)(b) an association;(24)(c) an institution;(24)(d) a corporation;(24)(e) a company;(24)(f) a trust;(24)(g) a limited liability company;(24)(h) a partnership;(24)(i) a political subdivision;(24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and(24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5(1)(a) “Emergency services” means services provided by a person in response to an emergency.(1)(b) “Emergency services” includes:(1)(b)(i) fire protection services;(1)(b)(ii) paramedic services;(1)(b)(iii) law enforcement services;(1)(b)(iv) 911 ambulance or paramedic services; and(1)(b)(v) any other emergency services.(2) A person may not use “911” or other similar sequence of numbers in the person’s name with the purpose to deceive the public that the person operates or represents emergency services, unless the person is authorized to provide emergency services.(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is:(3)(a) a class C misdemeanor; and(3)(b) subject to a fine of up to $500 per violation. - Person: means :
