(1) The State Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice shall provide staff to the commission and to any subcommittee of the commission.

Terms Used In Utah Code 63M-7-905

  • Commission: means the Utah Victim Services Commission. See Utah Code 63M-7-901
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) The commission may contract with a third party to assist the commission with reviewing and providing recommendations on:

     (2)(a) the best practices and policies for crime victim services;
     (2)(b) the structure and membership of the commission;
     (2)(c) the purpose and duties of the commission, including any overlapping duties that the commission has with another state office, board, or commission;
     (2)(d) the funding for crime victim services in this state, including the need for funding, the management of state funds for crime victim services, and the implementation of accountability and performance measures; and
     (2)(e) any other issue related to the duties of the commission that the third party may provide assistance.
