(1) An area may be designated as an enterprise zone only if the county applicant or municipal applicant agrees to make a qualifying local contribution.
Terms Used In Utah Code 63N-2-205
- County applicant: means the governing authority of a county that meets the requirements for designation as an enterprise zone under Section 63N-2-204. See Utah Code 63N-2-202
- Municipal applicant: means the governing authority of a city or town that meets the requirements for designation as an enterprise zone under Section 63N-2-204. See Utah Code 63N-2-202
(2) The qualifying local contribution may vary depending on available resources, and may include such elements as:
(2)(a) simplified procedures for obtaining permits;
(2)(b) dedication of available government grants;
(2)(c) dedication of training funds;
(2)(d) waiver of business license fees;
(2)(e) infrastructure improvements;
(2)(f) private contributions;
(2)(g) utility rate concessions;
(2)(h) small business incubator programs; or
(2)(i) management assistance programs.
