(a) A certificate or license issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall bear the signature of the chairperson of the board and a certificate number assigned by the director.

- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- Board: means the real-estate appraisal board established pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-20.7-2
- Department: means the department of business regulation. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-20.7-2
- Director: means the director of the department of business regulation. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-20.7-2
(b) Prior to the issuance of any trainee license, the trainee shall provide to the department a notarized affidavit signed by the certified appraiser who shall directly supervise the trainee. The affidavit must provide the business name, address, and license number of the certified appraiser.
