No application or petition for injunction against any domestic, foreign, or alien society, or lodge of a society, shall be recognized in any court of this state unless made by the attorney general upon the request of the commissioner of insurance.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 27-25-32
- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
- Lodge: means subordinate member units of the society, known as camps, courts, councils, branches, or by any other designation. See Rhode Island General Laws 27-25-4
- Society: means fraternal benefit society, unless otherwise indicated. See Rhode Island General Laws 27-25-4
