Rhode Island General Laws 28-42-63.1. Suspension or revocation of registration – New registration
Whenever any employer fails to comply with any provision of this title, the director, upon a hearing, after giving the person at least five (5) days’ notice in writing specifying the time and place of the hearing and requiring him or her to show cause why his or her registration or registrations should not be revoked, may revoke or suspend any one or more of the registrations held by the employer. The notice may be served personally or by mail. The director shall not issue a new registration after the revocation of a registration unless he or she is satisfied that the former holder of the registration will comply with this title. In that case the director may require the filing of such a bond with surety or the deposit of the security that he or she deems necessary to assure compliance with this title.
