- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Recess: A temporary interruption of the legislative business.
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
- virtual instruction: means instruction that is provided in an interactive learning environment created through technology in which the student is separated from a teacher by time or space, or both. See Indiana Code 20-30-2-1.5
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
