Indiana Code 1-2-12-6. Poet laureate’s term of service

Sec. 6. (a) A person selected as poet laureate serves a two (2) year term that begins January 1 following the poet laureate’s selection.

Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5

(b) A person selected as poet laureate may serve one (1) additional consecutive term.
