Sec. 23. A candidate for the office of county assessor must satisfy the following:
(2) The candidate must own real property located in the county upon taking office.
(1) The candidate must have resided in the county for at least one (1) year before the election, as provided in Article 6, § 4 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana.
