Terms Used In Indiana Code 4-20.5-19-4

  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • United States: includes the District of Columbia and the commonwealths, possessions, states in free association with the United States, and the territories. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
   Sec. 4. Upon the execution of the deed of conveyance, the state relinquishes all claims to the property conveyed to the United States government.
