Terms Used In Indiana Code 4-29.5-12-2

  • Concurrent resolution: A legislative measure, designated "S. Con. Res." and numbered consecutively upon introduction, generally employed to address the sentiments of both chambers, to deal with issues or matters affecting both houses, such as a concurrent budget resolution, or to create a temporary joint committee. Concurrent resolutions are not submitted to the President/Governor and thus do not have the force of law.
  • Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
   Sec. 2. Upon completion of the Initial Term, this Compact shall renew for an additional ten (10) year term (a “Renewal Term”) if, at least three hundred sixty-five (365) days prior to the expiration of the Initial Term, the Band serves written notice on the State requesting that the Compact be renewed for a Renewal Term, unless at least three hundred sixty-five (365) days prior to the expiration of the Initial Term, the General Assembly of the State, by concurrent resolution, rejects the renewal of this Compact for the Renewal Term.
