  • claimant: means any of the following individuals filing an application for assistance under this chapter:

  • violent crime: means the following:

   Sec. 2.5. As used in this chapter, “emergency shelter care” means temporary or transitional housing having the primary purpose of providing shelter for a claimant to avoid contact with the person who committed the violent crime that is the basis for the claim.
