Terms Used In Indiana Code 6-1.1-24.5-9

  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Fee simple: Absolute title to property with no limitations or restrictions regarding the person who may inherit it.
   Sec. 9. Subject to section 6(a) of this chapter, a deed issued under section 7 of this chapter conveys the same fee simple interest in a tract or item of real property as a deed issued under IC 6-1.1-25.
