Sec. 7. (a) The commission shall have the power to make and establish rules for the admission of
evidence and the conduct of the hearing, as in its opinion will serve best the purpose of the hearing. The
attorney general of the state shall appear at the hearing and represent the commission in the defense of its order.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 7.1-2-7-7
- Attorney: includes a counselor or other person authorized to appear and represent a party in an action or special proceeding. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
(b) A corporation that is a party in any proceeding before the commission may elect to appear either by counsel or by the personal appearance of any of its corporate officers.
