Sec. 3. The department shall provide an ombudsman with:
(2) immediate access to any correctional facility administered or supervised by the department of correction.
(1) appropriate access to the records of an offender who files a complaint under this chapter; and

- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- ombudsman: means an employee of the bureau or an individual approved by the bureau to investigate and resolve complaints regarding the health and safety of any person, and violations by the department of specific laws, rules, or written policies. See Indiana Code 11-11-1.5-2
