- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- ombudsman: means an employee of the bureau or an individual approved by the bureau to investigate and resolve complaints regarding the health and safety of any person, and violations by the department of specific laws, rules, or written policies. See Indiana Code 11-11-1.5-2
Sec. 5. An ombudsman shall not investigate a complaint from an employee of the department that relates to the employee’s employment relationship with the department.
