Sec. 4. (a) Subject to subsection (c), the term of a member of the
commission is four (4) years. The term of a member filling a vacancy is for the
remainder of the unexpired term.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 12-10-2-4
- commission: refers to the Indiana state commission on aging established by this chapter. See Indiana Code 12-10-2-1
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
(c) A member of the commission serves at the will of the governor. The governor may terminate the appointment of a member of the commission by notifying the member, the chairman of the commission, and the director.
