Sec. 13. (a) The
office shall, before November 1 of each
year, submit a report to the governor, the budget committee, the state board of education, the department of education, and, in an electronic format under
IC 5-14-6, the general assembly regarding the
prekindergarten program.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 12-17.2-7.2-13
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- fund: refers to the prekindergarten program fund established by section 13. See Indiana Code 12-17.2-7.2-4.7
- office: means the office of the secretary of family and social services. See Indiana Code 12-17.2-7.2-3
- prekindergarten program: refers to the prekindergarten program established under section 7 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 12-17.2-7.2-5
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(b) The report under subsection (a) must include the following:
(1) The total number of children who received a prekindergarten voucher under the prekindergarten program for the immediately preceding state fiscal year, disaggregated by county.
(2) The total amount of funds budgeted for and spent under the prekindergarten program during the immediately preceding state fiscal year.
(3) The balance remaining in the fund at the end of the immediately preceding state fiscal year.
