Under the Indiana Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |

Sec. 21. A person who, with intent to defraud, knowingly or intentionally makes a material misstatement in connection with an application for a loan or grant from the fund commits a Level 6 felony.
