Sec. 2.5. As used in this chapter, “contract feeder” means a person who:
(2) feeds commercial feed to animals under a contract where the commercial feed is supplied, furnished, or otherwise provided to the person; and
(1) is an independent contractor;

- commercial feed: means all materials, or combinations of materials, that are distributed or intended for distribution for use as feed or for mixing in feed, except as exempted in this section. See Indiana Code 15-19-7-2
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- person: includes individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, and associations. See Indiana Code 15-19-7-14
(3) receives remuneration that is determined wholly or in part by feed consumption, mortality, profits, or amount or quality of product.
