Terms Used In Indiana Code 20-23-17-1

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Population: has the meaning set forth in Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
   Sec. 1. This chapter applies to a school corporation located in a city that has a population of more than fifty-one thousand (51,000) and less than fifty-three thousand (53,000).
