Sec. 7. A school corporation qualifies to receive a grant when the governing body of the school corporation appropriates money from the school corporation’s general fund (before January 1, 2019) or the school corporation’s education fund (after December 31, 2018) for a:

(1) remediation program; or

Terms Used In Indiana Code 20-32-8-7

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • grant: refers to a grant under the remediation grant program established under this chapter. See Indiana Code 20-32-8-1
  • program: refers to the remediation grant program established under this chapter. See Indiana Code 20-32-8-2
(2) preventive remediation program;

that meets the state board’s standards for funding under the program, and, if the program is a preventive remediation program, that has been approved by the state board.
