Terms Used In Indiana Code 20-35-14-3

  • IDEA: refers to the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Indiana Code 20-35-14-1
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • office: has the meaning set forth in Indiana Code 20-35-14-2
     (b) The office is granted jurisdiction to conduct hearings described in subsection (a) as permitted under IC 4-15-10.5-12.
