Terms Used In Indiana Code 21-14-12.2-3

  • qualified course: means a course prescribed by a state educational institution to obtain an undergraduate degree or graduate degree. See Indiana Code 21-14-12.2-1
  • qualified veteran: means an individual who:

  • United States: includes the District of Columbia and the commonwealths, possessions, states in free association with the United States, and the territories. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • veteran: includes "Hoosier veteran" and applies to the construction of all Indiana statutes, unless the construction is expressly excluded by the terms of the statute, is plainly repugnant to the intent of the general assembly or of the context of the statute, or is inconsistent with federal law. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
   Sec. 3. A qualified veteran who enrolls in a state educational institution not later than twelve (12) months after the date of the qualified veteran‘s discharge or separation from the armed forces of the United States or the Indiana National Guard is eligible to pay the resident tuition rate determined by the state educational institution for a qualified course taken by the qualified veteran while attending the state educational institution.
