Sec. 4. (a) Before July 1, 2015, the commission shall disseminate guidelines, information sheets, and forms to the athletic department of each postsecondary educational institution to inform and educate coaches and student athletes of the nature and risk of sudden cardiac
arrest to student athletes.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 21-18-13-4
- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- association: means an organization that conducts, organizes, sanctions, or sponsors interscholastic athletic events as the organization's primary purpose. See Indiana Code 21-18-13-2
(b) The commission:
(1) may consult with an association, medical professionals, and others with expertise in diagnosing and treating sudden cardiac arrest; and
(2) may request the assistance of an association in disseminating the guidelines, information sheets, and forms required under subsection (a).
(c) The commission may disseminate the guidelines, information sheets, and forms required under this section in an electronic format.
