Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, “access practice agreement” means an agreement that:
(2) complies with the requirements of this chapter.
(1) is entered into by a licensed dentist and a dental hygienist that allows the dental hygienist to provide preventive dental hygiene services directly to a patient; and

- Dental hygienist: means one who is especially educated and trained in the science and art of maintaining the dental health of the individual or community through prophylactic or preventive measures applied to the teeth and adjacent structures. See Indiana Code 25-13-1-2
- Licensed dentist: refers to a dentist licensed under IC 25-14. See Indiana Code 25-13-1-2
