- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
Sec. 1. In every judicial proceeding under this article, the court may appoint for the child a guardian ad litem or a court appointed special advocate, or both, under IC 31-32-3.
