Terms Used In Indiana Code 32-17-11-9

  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
  • proof of death: includes a death certificate, an affidavit of death, or a record or report that is prima facie proof of death under IC 29-2-6, IC 29-2-7 (before its repeal), or IC 29-2-14. See Indiana Code 32-17-11-9
   Sec. 9. As used in this chapter, “proof of death” includes a death certificate, an affidavit of death, or a record or report that is prima facie proof of death under IC 29-2-6, IC 29-2-7 (before its repeal), or IC 29-2-14.
