Sec. 7. The prosecuting attorney of a county having a population of more than two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) and less than three hundred thousand (300,000) shall devote the prosecuting attorney’s full professional time to the duties of the prosecuting attorney’s office. The prosecuting attorney may not engage in the private practice of law for the term for which the prosecuting attorney was elected or appointed, and the prosecuting attorney is entitled to a minimum annual salary that is not less than the salary of the judge of the circuit court of the same judicial circuit.
