- Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
- Sheriff: means the sheriff of the county or another person authorized to perform sheriff's duties. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
Sec. 12. “Assisting sheriff”, for purposes of IC 34-47-4, means the sheriff of a county other than the county in which a writ of attachment has been issued under IC 34-47-4.
