Sec. 5. (a) This section applies only to a school corporation in the following counties:
(2) A county having a population of more than one hundred eighty thousand (180,000) and less than one hundred eighty-five thousand (185,000).
(1) A county having a population of more than two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) and less than three hundred thousand (300,000).
Terms Used In Indiana Code 36-10-13-5
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- historical society: means a nonprofit corporation organized under Indiana law to:

- Population: has the meaning set forth in Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(b) Subject to section 6 of this chapter, the governing body of the school corporation may annually appropriate the money in the operations fund to be paid in semiannual installments to a historical society having facilities in the county.
