Before distribution of the assets of an insolvent corporation among the creditors or stockholders, the district court shall allow a reasonable compensation to the receiver for his or her services and the costs and expenses of the administration of the trust, and the cost of the proceedings in the court, to be first paid out of the assets.
Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 78.705
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Receiver: includes receivers and trustees appointed by a court as provided in this chapter or in chapter 32 of NRS. See Nevada Revised Statutes 78.010
