Except as otherwise provided in NRS 582.029, to act as a public weighmaster, a person must receive a license from the State Sealer of Measurement Standards. To qualify for a license, a person must:

- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
1. Be able to weigh and measure accurately;
2. Be able to generate correct certificates of weights and measures; and
3. Possess such other qualifications as required by the regulations adopted pursuant to this chapter.
