- Joint resolution: A legislative measure which requires the approval of both chambers.
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
Beginning with the general election held in the second year following each decennial census, the representation of the people of Florida in the Florida Legislature shall be as set forth earlier in such year by the Legislature by joint resolution or by the Supreme Court by order, as the case may be. A joint resolution of apportionment or an order of the Supreme Court adopted or entered pursuant to Fla. Const. Art. III, § 16 shall be included in the Florida Statutes in the same manner as a statute.
