- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
When such surveys, as provided for in ss. 253.39 and 253.40, shall have been made and approved by the chief cadastral surveyor, the plats and field notes thereof shall be filed in the office of the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of this state, which shall be the custodian of such plats and field notes for the use of the public, under such regulations as may apply to the use of plats and field notes of the public land surveys of the United States, and a duly certified copy of the same shall be admissible as evidence in any court of this state.
