- AHERA: means the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986, Florida Statutes 469.001
- ASHARA: means the Asbestos School Hazard Reauthorization Act. See Florida Statutes 469.001

- NESHAP: means the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, Florida Statutes 469.001

The department shall adopt rules pursuant to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54 to implement the provisions of this chapter. In developing the rules, the department shall consider related Florida Statutes and the rules promulgated thereunder, the criteria established in the Environmental Protection Agency Guidelines, and AHERA, ASHARA, NESHAP, and OSHA regulations.
