Terms Used In Florida Statutes 513.05

  • Occupancy: means the length of time that a recreational vehicle is occupied by a transient guest and not the length of time that such vehicle is located on the leased recreational vehicle site. See Florida Statutes 513.01
The department may adopt rules pertaining to the location, construction, modification, equipment, and operation of mobile home parks, lodging parks, recreational vehicle parks, and recreational camps, except as provided in s. 633.206, as necessary to administer this chapter. Such rules may include definitions of terms; requirements for plan reviews of proposed and existing parks and camps; plan reviews of parks that consolidate space or change space size; water supply; sewage collection and disposal; plumbing and backflow prevention; garbage and refuse storage, collection, and disposal; insect and rodent control; space requirements; heating facilities; food service; lighting; sanitary facilities; bedding; an occupancy equivalency to spaces for permits for recreational camps; sanitary facilities in recreational vehicle parks; and the owners’ responsibilities at recreational vehicle parks and recreational camps.
