- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.

- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
The notice of lien may be filed prior to the filing of a complaint brought to enforce said lien; provided that nothing herein contained shall prevent the filing of such notice at any time after the contract or agreement has been entered into and default made by the landowner in payment of any amount due under the contract or agreement; and suit in equity to enforce the rights of the Florida Forest Service or governmental authority as provided in this chapter must be brought within 12 months from the filing of said notice of lien.
