- person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
A person who has ever been convicted, regardless of adjudication, of the offense of escape, as prohibited by s. 944.40 or its successor, or as prohibited by a similar law of another state, is not eligible for any work-release program under s. 945.091 or for confinement in minimum security conditions.
